Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society is a Non-Profit organization... which means
we can't do much without VOLUNTEERS! Our biggest, annual fundraiser is the
Del Mar Fair, plus our Rough N' Cut sale in March and the Fall Festival in October. Other ways to lend a hand are as a museum docent who greets visitors to the Museum and makes gift shop sales or on most Thursdays or Saturdays where members process donations and purchases. Maintenance work keeps the facility looking its best while the Board of Directors makes and carries out organizational plans. From social media to meeting hospitality, there's a place for you! Reach out to any Board member with your ideas.

Dear Members,

The San Diego County Fair (June 8 through July 4) is fast approaching.  This event makes most of the revenue that keeps FGMS afloat and moving forward.  It also gives us the opportunity to tell our story to the public, especially to children.

We need to fill over 170 volunteer positions and 8 Team Leaders in our wonderful booth.  No experience is needed. No knowledge of minerals is required.  All that is needed is a welcoming smile and ability to help with sales.  Entry tickets are provided, of course, and we also try to provide rides to and from the venue. Another volunteer opportunity is the Fall Festival, held on the 2nd Sunday of October.

We also Need volunteers to help out in the Museum Gift Shop.*

* This requires a couple of shifts training with one of the other volunteers.
